Vito Oliveira Azevedo is a media artist and sound designer based in Bochum. Their practice spans soundtracks and soundscapes for performing arts, installations, and audio walks. Drawing on magical realism and autofiction, Vito's research explores narrative mediums and transformative approaches that reshape one's relationship with the environment. In addition to their award-winning soundtrack work for theatre and film in Brazil and their growing body of work in Germany, their work has been presented internationally, including at Acts of Air (University of the Arts London) and monteaudio20:imaginación (Forma y Sonido). They have also taken part in residencies such as Kunsthaus Helleweg's 2900m², Desvio Süd, and Project Duna.
