Mata Teu Pai
She murdered her brother and betrayed her country for love. She was abandoned and killed her own children out of revenge. Medea is a mythological woman stigmatised as mad and a murderer, but it's time to change the angle of that story.
In "Mata Teu Pai", Medea could be a woman like so many others who cross your path today. A woman who raises her children alone. A woman who sacrifices herself for her husband. A woman who is raped. She is an immigrant who has no home. She is the size of love and now she recognizes herself as the owner of herself and of her desires and decides to kill. To kill everything that does not come from within, to kill everything that is shoved up our wombs. The naivety. Passivity. The fate that we are taught is inevitable. For me and for you, woman who watches this, it is necessary to kill.
